Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It aims to help individuals develop healthier coping strategies and improve their emotional well-being. CBT can be effective in treating various mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and phobias. How does screening for brief intervention and referral for substance abuse treatment work?

Screening for brief intervention and referral for substance abuse treatment is a process aimed at identifying individuals who may be at risk for substance abuse or addiction. During the screening, we assess various factors, including substance use patterns, frequency, and related consequences. If the screening indicates a potential problem, I will provide a brief intervention, which involves discussing the risks and consequences associated with substance abuse and exploring strategies for change. If necessary, I can refer individuals to specialized substance abuse treatment programs or professionals who can provide further support and treatment.
