About Me

I grew up in Seattle and graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a bachelor’s degree, followed by a master’s degree in social work from the University of Chicago.

I earned a second master’s degree in human resources management from Pepperdine University.

My private practice was established 2001.

My previous employment positions include:

  • Court liaison for the Salvation Army
  • DSHS supervisor and branch office manager
  • Lecturer and coordinator of the Rural Mental Health Project at the University of Washington School of Social Work
  • Navy social worker
  • Executive director of an Armed Services YMCA
  • Executive director of a county United Way
  • Executive director of a comprehensive community mental health center
  • Family center director, ADHD therapy specialist, and clinical director for Catholic Community Services Northwest
  • Quality assurance reviewer, surveyor, and project manager for the Psychiatric Hospital Monitoring & Oversight Project funded by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid
  • Site surveyor for a Veterans Health Administration mental health residential treatment program project

I meet Washington State requirements as a Children’s Mental Health Specialist [RCW 71.34.020(11)]; I am a Certified ADHD Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP); Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist; and I have have professional certificates in geriatric social work and employee assistance program (EAP) counseling.
